Zero Dollar Facebook Marketing Step-By-Step Plan by Arlene Whiting Copyright 2013 Make a Fan page. Invite people to Fan page. (Ex: Email list or social media followers, friends, and etc.) Join groups that are related to your Fan page. For example if my Fan page promotes clowns then I will look for all the clown groups on Facebook. Also research how many followers a group has. Your target group should be ones with 20,000 followers or more. You will need to join a group. Do research on the Clown groups friends list. Read profiles and look at the ones that interest you. Send a friend request. Wait on an acceptance or rejection. Note: If accepted then make a connection and contact that persson. Ex: Ask how are you doing?" "How is the weather?" "How long have you been doing this?" etc., etc., etc. This will make an Impression with them and will help you to stand out amongst the other people who just collect friends. Next place your ads. There are four types of ads on Facebook. The Advent ad, Sampling ad, Basic "Like" ad, and the Poll ad. Advent AD- For any events that you are planning, social gathering, meetup groups you want to host a meeting for anyone interested in making extra income. You can invite your friends and if you make the event public they can invite their friends. Sampling AD- You can offer a free sample to anyone on Facebook. When you get a positive post on the status update. That's when people will know about your brand. Basic Like AD- It is a regular ad, only it's shorter and simpler. The goal here is to get people to "Like" your ad. Because when you do, this is posted as an update on their wall. Their friends and contacts get to see this and may "Like" the ad also. Poll AD- This ad allows you to reach Facebook users who would not normally follow you. You would ask a question to the Facebook user and they would select an answer from a drop down list. Once the person chooses an answer they will see the statistics of the other Facebook users. Facebook marketing involves a lot of work, and is time consuming, this is not for the impatient. Any type of marketing takes time and work. There is nothing instant. Even oatmeal is not instant; and that takes about 3-5 minutes to cook.
